What is Providence Osborne Park Ltd?

Providence Osborne Park Ltd is a new charity that has been setup especially for this project. This company will purchase, fit out, and then hold the property for Providence City’s use. We’re not planning to change the name of our church, we just weren’t allowed to create a company called Providence City because we’re not a city called Providence 😄

How much money do we need to raise?

In all we are trying to raise $3 million for the purchase and fit out of the property. So far we have received pledges of upfront donations and loans totalling around $2.4 million. If you didn’t have an opportunity to pledge in the initial fund-raising campaign we’d love for you to be involved in supporting the building campaign however you are able!

When do you need the money by?

We are in the process of attempting to purchase the property right now! Significant work has been happening behind the scenes to apply to the council to be able to use the building as a church and we are hopeful and prayerful to receive council approval in the coming weeks. We would greatly appreciate all pledges to be deposited as soon as possible so that the money is ready when payment comes due.

When can we move in?

There are a number of aspects to this project for which we have little control of the timeframes. Our hope and prayer is that if we receive approval to purchase this building and everything goes to plan, it may be ready for us to move in at the start of next year. Please join us in praying that God will make it happen!

I deposited my pledged donation for the building project into the normal Providence bank account, does it matter?

Thanks for getting onto it already! It would be very helpful if you could let our book-keeper know the date and amount of the deposit so that we know to direct the money towards the building project, let us know by email at accounts@providencechurch.org.au.

What happens if the Hector St West property falls through?

We have been looking at different properties for the last two years and we are hoping and praying that we will be able to purchase this property! Having said that, we are asking people to give towards the purchase of a property rather than this particular property. If in the sovereignty of God this building does not work out, we will continue the search for a long-term home. We will keep you in the loop throughout the process!
