Read 1 Kings 6

Paul has gone from a farmer to a builder.   As the Corinthians are gathering around Christian leaders, they are making judgments about who is the wisest and most eloquent.  Paul shows that builders must be careful what they use to build but it is God that will do the judging.  Some builder’s work will hold up and some won’t but it is God that will judge.

Paul also reminds the burgeoning Christian leaders of Corinth of how precious they are to God and the consequences for those who may seek to destroy it.  They are God’s temple, God’s spirit is amongst them and they should act accordingly.

Are you involved is discipling others?  What do you use to build them up?  How do you build yourself up?

If you’re feeling a bit stuck for ideas, you can find some great resources at the Gospel Coalition website.
