Pray and read
Praise God that he is at work in the world bringing about his good plans and purposes, especially in the growth of his kingdom. Ask him to help you know him better, that you might grow in loyalty to him as your king. Read Acts 9.
Who are the main characters (or groups of characters) in vv1-31?
What ‘extraordinary’ acts of God did you notice in Saul’s conversion? What ‘ordinary’ acts of service did you notice?
Why might God have acted in extraordinary ways in Saul’s conversion? You might like to read Galatians 1:11-2:10.
Why do you think Barnabas took Saul to see the apostles? What difference might it have made to Saul’s ministry?
What might the purpose of the miracles Peter performs in vv32-43?
Does Acts 9 give us a reason to expect God to reveal himself to us in ‘extraordinary’ ways? Why/ why not?

Praise God for his wisdom in calling Saul to take the gospel to the Gentiles, and thank him that we benefit from his ministry in the Scriptures which have been preserved for us.
