Romans Week 2: Day 4
Pray and read
Ask God to continue growing your love for Jesus and his people as you read and understand today’s passage, and that this love would abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight.
Re-read Romans 10:13-15.
What’s the problem with the quote: “Preach Jesus, and if necessary use words.”?
Why is it so important for preachers to be sent? Who sends them? Why might Paul be bringing this up in the Romans letter?
Think about the people who sent the person who shared the message of Jesus with you. If you have Christian ancestors, who sent the preachers to them? How did the message of Christ come to the country where you came to faith? How important to you are those senders for you hearing the message?
How important is it to you to be a ‘sender’ of people to share the message of Jesus?
Who do you know who has been sent out in Perth? Australia? The world?
How can you continue to support the sending of preachers?
Thank God for the people who sent the person/people who preached the message of Jesus to you and those around you.
Pray for the missionaries sent by our church, that the message of Jesus would bear fruit in the places they have been sent to. (See Providence mission partners for their information).
Pray for anyone else you have sent to preach that message in Australia and beyond. Ask God to keep them faithful to the message that saves.
