Romans Week 2: Day 2

Pray and read

Ask God to continue growing your love for Jesus and his people as you read and understand today’s passage, and that this love would abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight.

Read Romans 10:5-13 (you can re-read 10:1-4 if you want to follow Paul’s flow)

What is the difference between righteousness that’s by law and righteousness that’s by faith?

How are Christians saved and justified? (Justified means being declared right with God)

How is there unity between Jews and Gentiles?

Have you declared with your mouth “Jesus is Lord” and believed in your heart that God raised him from the dead? If not, what is stopping you? Are you ready to believe it and declare it today?

If you’ve already received salvation, have you ever been tempted to believe you are saved by righteousness from the law or works, rather than by faith? What impact will this have on your Christian life?

Why is it important to be reminded that we are saved and justified by faith? How is this still good and relevant news in life even years after you first believed it?

Thank God for the amazing work of Jesus’ death and resurrection, which means we can be saved by faith, not law.

If you haven’t yet believed and declared your faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection, ask God to help you do that.

Ask God for help to live a life of faith, and for a deep joy in this truth.
