Pray for the Lord to be at work in you by his Spirit, growing you in understanding, faith and love.
The prophet, Zephaniah, was concerned with Israel’s pursuit of God for their salvation and
joy, so that they would escape his judgment and wrath. In the first part of the book,
Zephaniah declares God’s judgment on those who stand against him; but this is interrupted
at the climax, where in his grace, God announces he will restore the remnant of Israel.
Read: Zephaniah 3:14-20
What has God done and what will he do?
What does it look like for Israel to be restored?
How has God restored us as his people? (cf. Ephesians 2:4-7)
Mighty Lord, you have loved us with an everlasting love. I praise you for your mercy and
grace in Christ Jesus. Thank you for defeating my enemies of sin and death. Thank you that
though I’m underserving, you delight in me and enfold me in your heavenly family. Give me
strength and faith as I continue to battle the temptations and struggles of this world and set
my eyes on the coming day when you will restore all things. For the sake of your glory,
