Week 8: Day 3

Read: Luke 22:47-53

Jesus’ betrayal by one of his own is an insight into the darkness and evil in the world. How does Jesus respond to the betrayal?

The disciples try to protect Jesus and attack the men that had come for him. How does Jesus tell them to act instead?

Sometimes we feel like we have to fight God’s battles for him. We qualify his words to make it sound more appealing to those around us when instead we should let him change people’s hearts.

Have there been times when you have tried to fight God’s battles for him? How should you have acted instead?

·         Pray that God would help you to be a good witness to him in our city.

·         Pray that God would provide you with opportunities to tell others about him this week.  Pray also for the strength and courage to take those opportunities.
