Romans Week 14: Day 1

Read Romans 8:18-27, focussing on verses 18-21.

How are Christians described in this passage? What is our current experience? What is our expectation for the future?

What does the creation hope for? How will this hope be realised?

How will glory be revealed in the new creation?

As children of God, we wait in eager expectation for the world to be liberated from its current frustrations and suffering. How does this change your perspective on difficulties you are currently struggling with?

What are some practical ways you can remind yourself of the truths of this passage this week?

Praise God that through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we have a certain hope in God’s coming glory.

Pray for patience and perseverance in current trials, and that the way you respond would be shaped by your identity as a child of God.
