Romans Week 11: Day 1

Read: Romans 6:1-7

God’s grace increases as sin increases. Why do we then worry about sinning?

What does Paul mean when he says a person’s old self is crucified with Christ?

Paul describes a person’s relationship to sin as slavery. Do you think this is an accurate depiction?  In what ways?

·      How are people released from sin’s slavery?

We are those who have died to sin; how can we not live in it any longer?

Romans 6:2

Paul doesn’t expect a Christian’s life to be perfect. How should our lives look in light of Christ’s death?

Is there sin that you just accept as a part of your life? What can you do to change that this week?

Thank God that his love for us is so great and that his grace and mercy is boundless.

Ask God to help you overcome any sin that you are living in. Pray for strength, wisdom and courage in these battles.
